You are just minutes away from a huge array of different beaches, some beautiful town beaches such as D. Ana and Camelo which feature beautiful grottos and other longer beaches like Meia praia bustling with numerous activities and some fantastic restaurants.
Praia da Luz is a 5 minute drive away and is worth a visit with it’s scenic views, black rock and endless restaurants to pick from.
Along the coast towards the west coast you have Burgau, Salema, Raposeira and Vila do Bispo that are all unique and lovely towns in their own right and worth a visit if you want some great seafood or a relaxing beach day.
Sagres and the other west coast beaches are a 30 minute drive away and full of rustic landscapes and long wild beaches. The west coast is very popular among the surfers and it can be difficult to find a parking space if the waves are good.
Sagres is popular for it’s laid-back vibe, tapas and it’s lighthouse.
There are numerous water parks back towards Faro which are great fun for the whole family and a Zoo just a 10 minute drive away which is fantastic for children under 10.
