Rooms are all lovely and the en suite bathrooms are gorgeous. Little welcome pack is very sweet on arrival and easy to walk or Uber to Luz for supplies or to go out to eat. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend as a place to unwind and soak up the sun.

The address on Air BnB links to a location that is not the villa. We got an Uber back there with shopping and we were a ten minute walk away. It was only because we had left someone in the house who could send us a pin that we could find the correct see more

Not enough seating in the lounge for the 6 of us, we had to bring in a chair from outside. We felt that the bed matresses were a bit hard , so maybe be memory foam topper ?

Casa Lontra is a delightful 4-bedroom villa with private pool and lovely views to the sea, situated in the sought after area of Luz Parque.
The spacious lounge is comfortably furnished and has large sliding doors which open out onto the ample terrace and pool area. A large flatscreen TV provides UK + PT channels; wi-fi is also available.
A separate dining area - with seating for eight – is set off the lounge.
The modern kitchen has a spacious breakfast bar and is well equipped with a small undercounter fridge, oven + hob, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee-machine, hand blender, among other useful appliances.
Opposite the kitchen is the laundry room, where you will find the washing machine and a large fridge/freezer.
The four bright & breezy bedrooms are located at the North end of the villa.
The first bedroom has a double bed and full en-suite bathroom.
The remaining three bedrooms all have twin beds. One of them has an en-suite shower room; the other two share a full family bathroom.
Three of these bedrooms have sliding doors which open out onto the beautiful garden.
There is also a cloakroom in this corridor.
The ample terrace has a large dining table + chairs, which can be covered by an electric awning (remotely operated) if required. The terrace is fully fenced with gates to prevent access to the pool by little ones.
The large kidney-shaped pool (which can be heated by prior arrangement) has plenty of sun loungers and sunshades around it. It is also completely gated, making for a safe environment if there are small children about.
All the outside areas have good lighting, allowing for the evenings to be as enjoyable as the daytime.
A special effort has been made to equip this house for small children. The owner, a mother of twins, knows full well how difficult it is to keep an eye on little ones when near a pool, so she has ensured that all security aspects are covered with stairgates, blind cord safety cleats, and a gated pool area. In addition to security, there are many baby items available for use at the property to save you from having to bring lots with you. Baby books, toys, garden toys, floor mats, potties, highchairs, bottle warmers, steriliser...you name it, it's there!
Casa Lontra is set in a peaceful, residential location but is within walking distance of the village of Praia da Luz – roughly 1 km, but also close to Burgau – so it offers the best of both worlds, making for a truly amazing family holiday!
