Description
Casa Ancoradouro is a lovely, 4-bedroom countryside style villa with private pool and tennis court.
It is nicely located in the secluded area of Funchal Ridge, halfway between Praia da Luz and Lagos and commands beautiful views of the sea and mountains.
The electrically operated entrance gates open onto a cobbled driveway which leads up to the house.
To the right of the entrance hall, you will find the first bedroom with twin beds and an en-suite.
Next to this bedroom is the utility room, where the housemaid does the laundry. This room is also available to guests and comprises a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron + ironing board.
Further down the hall to the left is the master bedroom with a large double bed, walk-in closet, and en-suite.
There are two further twin bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite; a full bathroom can also be found on this floor.
The first bedroom overlooks the driveway; the other 3 bedrooms have French windows which open out onto the pool area and surrounding gardens.
Upstairs is the spacious, light, and airy living room with plenty of comfortable sofas and a log fireplace. A flat-screen TV provides UK channels; wi-fi is also available.
To one corner of the living room, you will find a small cloakroom.
To the left is the dining area, which again is spacious and very bright.
Both the living and dining rooms have French windows which open out onto ample terraces with wonderful views and comfortable outside furniture for al-fresco dining.
The renovated kitchen leads off the dining room and is well-equipped with a fridge-freezer, oven & hob, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, and juicer, among other appliances.
Outside, the pool area is sheltered and equipped with sun loungers and sunshades.
To the right of the pool, you will find the covered dining area with a built-in BBQ.
Just off from the pool and gardens, you will find the private tennis court (hard surface). Tennis rackets are provided.
All the outside areas have good lighting, allowing for the evenings to be as enjoyable as the daytime.
The entire villa and all its facilities are completely private and for the exclusive use of its guests.

Casa Ancoradouro is a scrupulously clean spacious villa which also has a welcoming charm which shows how loved it is by the owners.
The panoramic views are spectacular and the gardens surrounding the villa are so relaxing with birdsong and coloursee more

The panoramic views are spectacular and the gardens surrounding the villa are so relaxing with birdsong and colourful flowers which seem to appear daily Francesca the maid is lovely and keeps the villa tidy by daily chores but not encroaching on your stay in the villa In fact we found the need to go out a decision which was led by going for foodsightseeing which usually found some of our party in turn staying to enjoy life at the villa. Could not recommended this stunning villa enough. |

We had a superb time at the villa. It is spacious, clean and well equipped with almost everything you could want.
The owner and the agent there were very helpful. The maid cleans every day. The pool and tennis court are very good too with seating,see more

First off, the villa is beautiful, the grounds are kept beautifully and is situated in a quiet area away from town. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and always open for communication, the maid that comes to clean in the mornings is no trouble atsee more
First off, the villa is beautiful, the grounds are kept beautifully and is situated in a quiet area away from town. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and always open for communication, the maid that comes to clean in the mornings is no trouble at all and tries her best to not get in the way. Lagos itself is a beautiful part of the Algarve with plenty to do during the day and at night, we will definitely be going again.
